Let us discuss scripture.
Let us discuss the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' shall enter the Kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.
"Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in your name, and done many wonders in Your name?
"And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.'"
Matthew 7:21-23 NKJV
Let us discuss two questions today:
First: Are Mormons Christians?
Should Christians vote for Mormons?
The answers to both questions are NO.
Mormons are NOT Christians, and
Christians should NEVER vote for a Mormon.
Voting for a Mormon is a sin against our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Mormons have additional scriptures that Mormons consider HOLY and GOD-inspired, two of these are The Book of Mormon and The Doctrine and Covenants.
In Doctrine and Covenants, Section 132, Mormons are told by revelation that if a Mormon is married in the Mormon Temple, and follows a few other rules, then Mormons will become GODS after they die.
MORMONS believe that they become GODS - MORMONS believe that they will be elevated above Jesus Christ and become a GOD.
That is one of most direct reasons as to why Mormons are not Christians.
In the Mormon cult's monthly magazine, The Ensign, published in November 1975, the President of the Cult, and self proclaimed Prophet of the Mormon God, Spencer W Kimball, said this to a huge gathering of Mormons on their General Conference:
"Brethren 225,000 of you are here tonight.
"I suppose 225,000 of you may become GODS.
"There seems to be plenty of space out there in the universe."
"Out there in the universe" refers to the Mormon belief that not only will a temple-Mormon become a GOD, but they become a GOD and get there own planetary system to rule - like the Christian God made and rules the earth.
So MORMONS can become GODS!
That principal is not supported in either the Old Testament or the New Testament, that principal is not discussed by Jesus Christ.
Our Savior left us enough guidance in the gospels, many parables, many discussions, that can be applied to modern day principles. No where in the Holy Bible is there a passage that suggests that men can become GODS.
That is not a Christian principle.
Another self proclaimed Mormon Prophet, Joseph Fielding Smith, in Doctrines of Salvation states:
"that man [temple-Mormons] by obeying the commandments of God and keeping the whole law will eventually reach the power and exaltation by which he will also become a God." (p. 97-97)
The true Gospel of Jesus Christ, including all the Epistles and Letters in the New Testament, warn us, as Christians, that the devil does act this way - by misquoting scripture, and inventing scripture:
"Beware of false prophet, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravenous wolves."
Matthew 7:15 NKJV
"Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirit whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world."
1 John 4:1 NKJV
Knowing that Mormonism is not based on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ's gospel, we owe it our religious faith to not influence, encourage, or vote for any person who follows a false gospel.
Maybe Paul says it best:
"For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ.
"And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.
"Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness, whose end will be according to their works."
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 NKJV
So as Christians, we can not support Satan, or his false prophets, or Satan's false gospels [The Book of Mormon, The Doctrine and Covenants].
As Christians we can not support Romney, or his Mormon agenda, his fulfillment of the White Horse Prophesy.
As Christians we need to stay aware of the presence of wolves.
And irregardless of the Mormon rantings of BIGOTRY for not voting for Romney; remember that is just Satan talking in your ear.
Christians must not vote for, or support Mormonism.
Is there hope for Mormons in Christ's kingdom?
Christ only requires repentance, and the acceptance of the true gospel of Jesus Christ, and for Romney to abandon his idea of becoming a GOD.
A Christian, no matter how faithful, can never become greater than the Father.
